News Flash: Clarins Beauty Flash Balm is the Bomb

Clarins Beauty Flash Bomb
$46

I don't have particularly sensitive skin, but I do have a long memory.  Many years ago I purchased a Clarins foundation that made me break out in itchy bumps, my first and only allergic reaction to a makeup product.  It was graciously returned, but the memory haunts me lingered.

I received a lovely gift bag of Clarins skincare products from a client at Xmas.  It's taken me all this time to work up the nerve to try them...

The first one I'm tackling is their well regarded Beauty Flash Balm, which has a sterling reputation as a primer to brighten and tighten, when used before makeup. It is also purports to do double duty as a mask, that can be left on for 10-15 minutes before being rinsed off, though I bet most users stick to using it as a skin primer.A best seller for Clarins, "one is sold every 20 minutes worldwide".

Impressive.

I applied it like I would any primer but as suggested, worked quickly to put my makeup on over it.  It has a delicious, lightweight, nearly gel like texture that melts into your skin.  I must say, my skin did look both brighter and tighter.

Hello??? Does it get better than this? I don't think so.  I have used it for nearly a week now, and received numerous compliments on my glowing skin, (there is more to this, but that's a whole other blog.  Tune in this week to learn about Derma Planing, with the magnificent Julie Pipilo...It's a game changer.)

Here's a bit more information from Sephora's website about Clarins Beauty Flash Balm:

What it is:
A balm that instantly moisturizes, brightens, and tightens facial contours so skin looks rested and relaxed.

What it is formulated to do:
The ultimate pick-me-up for tired, stressed skin, this radiance-making product helps eliminate signs of fatigue in a flash. A great 10-minute "energy" mask, its non-oily formula prepares skin for perfect makeup application and hours of luminous wear.

What else you need to know:
Formulated with olive extract, this ingredient helps to smooth the skin's surface, diffusing the appearance of lines and wrinkles. Bisabolol soothes, softens, and helps restore skin's youthful glow.  It is allergy-tested and non-comedogenic.

With nary a bump in sight, I couldn't be happier with this product.  I may even prefer it to my Holy Grail, Korres Anti-Aging Primer, since it doesn't just blur imperfections, but tightens as well.

Yup. Beauty Flash Balm is the bomb...Have you ever tried it?

xox,
DD
