Everpro GrayAway Root Touch-Up Magnetic Powder

Everpro GrayAway Root Touch-Up Magnetic Powder
$9.99 to 12.99 at Drugstores Nationwide

Everpro's orginal Root Touch-Up Spray, was an ingenious and profitable, early entry into the temporary root cover up field. To this day, it is one of my most popular posts, with well over 100,000 views.  I have tried every spray on the market, including all the expensive ones, like Rita Hazan, and have loyally stuck with Gray Away's spray. Simply put, IMO it's the best.  Added bonus? It's cost effective.

I have been known to whip it out of my handbag and sweetly demand  ask, if I can demo it on family and friends whose skunk like parts, I cannot remove my eyes from.  (Done and said with love, of course...) Usually, that ends with said person, converted, hightailing it to CVS.

Organyc Lash and Brow Serum

Organyc Lash and Brow Serum
$34.99

UGGGHHH!!!  I just went to edit this post for a typo and hit something that made the whole thing go away in a poof!

I'm first returning to humanity, day 5 of the flu, and don't have the energy to rewrite the whole thing.  Here's what you need to know:

This stuff works!  It's formulated without all the kah kah resulting in zero irritation, where normally my eyes feel like fire ants are marching across my corneas.

How To Fake a Facelift

In my spare time, (HA!), I still try to peruse my favorite websites, for must have/do beauty tips for my Lovelies.  Of course, TotalBeauty's, "How to Fake a Facelift" by Emily Woodruff, stopped me in my tracks mid-bite.

Emily interviewed makeup artist Taylor Chang-Babaian,  who rewarded us with 4, ( I was hoping for 10), solid tips, that are easy to follow and shouldn't take most women out of their acquired skill set or require purchasing new products.

Definitely worth a share!

Revlon One-Step Volumizing Hair Dryer

Revlon One-Step Volumizing Hair Dryer
$56.99 at Ulta

Oh Lovelies, this is an amazing find...I must admit, I find myself relying more and more on the talented Viviana at Hott BlowDry to care for my tresses. To create even a semblance of her blow out, I need a blow dryer, 3 brushes, my hot rollers, a curling brush and a flat iron.  I wish it weren't so.  All that work, with middling results at best.

I was doing an Ulta run the other day, and as I have before, found myself drawn to the hot tools section for hair.  I spotted Revlon's new One-Step Volumizing Hair Dryer and did what I often do when considering a beauty purchase...I Googled and than read reviews.

Neil Bieff; An America Original

Designer Neil Bieff  (Photo courtesy of WAG Magazine)

I have loved Neil Bieff's exquisite, ethereal, hand beaded dresses for many years. Now, I have had the pleasure of spending time with him at our store Mary Jane Denzer, as he spends time working with our clients one on one, to create their dream dress.

It's not a surprise, that Neil initially studied painting. He is a master colorist, who artfully layers chiffon in away that surprises the eye. His clothes are deceptively simple, and show at their best, when slipped on.  He loves fluidity and is willing to wait for the, "ahhhh moment"  women have when they look in the mirror.

Neil says, "I know my clothes don't have a lot of hanger appeal, but I'm not dressing a hanger, I'm dressing a woman. It's my job to highlight their best assets, and if I have figured out how to camouflage flaws, so much the better."

The Fall 2017 Fashion Trends from NY and Paris

Mary Jane Denzer Partners Anastasia Cucinella and Debra O'Shea
at the Elie Saab Atelier in Paris for the Fall 2017 Collections
It was an absolute joy to attend Paris Fashion Week with my partner Anastasia Cucinella to buy for our store Mary Jane Denzer in White Plains, N.Y. Our vendors are excited for us and  have been fantastic partners, who are looking forward to growing with us. We truly appreciate their support and friendship.

We look forward to continuing to honor the DNA of Mary Jane Denzer; a luxury destination for special occasions, but we will also be spreading our wings! We have added several collections that will allow us to completely service all aspects of our clients lifestyle; so in addition to your Red Carpet moments, you will be able to find the perfect, "guest" dress, luncheon outfit, or casual but chic outfit to wear to a committee meeting.  We also found fresh and exciting accessories at the tents in Paris and look forward to receiving the fabulous scarves, jewelry and bags we purchased.

I promise to keep you posted on our trunk show schedule,  starting with Neil Bieff, our in-house designer, who will be at Mary Jane Denzer with his new collection through Saturday...stay tuned tomorrow for my interview with Neil, an enormous lasting talent, who has beautifully, dressed dozens of Hollywood and Music's biggest stars!!!

Now lets talk trends!

The term "Fashion Week" is truly a misnomer...Fashion Month is more accurate. What begins in New York, continues to London, Milan and finally Paris.
My fashion legs are pretty sturdy, but I can attest that New York and Paris were plenty to take in.  The other reality is when you arrive at the showrooms.  Of course the marvels that walked the runways are their too, but the reality is often in the trove of wearable, 'commercial' clothes, that most buyers actually buy, lined and with necklines built up beyond the navel.

Trends do emerge, and whether you are looking at high end evening wear or sportswear, they do resonate from show to show and continent to country. While it's still fresh in my mind, here's a bit of what we saw:

La Roche-Posay Toleriane Water-Cream Foundation

La Roche-Posay Toleriane Water-Cream Foundation
4 shades $25.00

My partner Anastasia Cucinella and I just returned from a buying trip to Paris during Fashion Week for our store Mary Jane Denzer.  It was a whirlwind, for sure, where we saw more than 30 designers and the Accessories Show.

Ooh La La!!!

I am always enamored with Pharmacies abroad. LOVE LOVE LOVE the green crosses that dot the streets, clearly identifying, where to stop in for aidez-moi, as I needed to on two occasions.  The Pharmacists are soooo helpful and their cures, so much more efficacious, (nee druggier), than our carefully FDA vetted ones in the states.

Tres bon!

I still have no clue where all the mass market brands of cosmetics are sold in depth in Paris...where do you buy L'Oreal or Maybelline??? They certainly are not lining the shelves of these carefully curated pharmacies.

Pretty in Paris!

Pretty in Paris!

My partner at Mary Jane Denzer  Anastasia Cucinella  and I just returned from Paris Fashion Week Fall 2017"OOH LA LA" sums it up well!

We loved this pretty Monique Lhullier dress and will definitely be ordering for Pre-Fall (late May delivery).  We ordered the collection, which hit all the right feminine fashion notes that are meaningful to our clients, while keeping a sharp eye on price.

J'Adore!

Stay tuned for more!  Our friends and followers enjoyed a front row seat of our journey via Facebook and Instagram, (Mary Jane Denzer and DivaDebbi 1).

Good things are in store for MJD...literally.
