When I do my daily rounds, scouring different beauty sites for interesting tips and tidbits to share with you, I always zero in on the ones about drugstore beauty bargains. If there is a hack for an expensive eye cream, mascara or foundation, I want in.
Today TotalBeauty.com ran a feature slideshow by one of their beauty editors. Allie Flinn made the ultimate sacrifice and gave up using luxury beauty products for a whole month.
Naturally, I've taken notes. Somehow she does find a way to veer into the $40 plus turf, but hey she's slumming. Here's a link to the slideshow of all 15 products that she deemed as good as the good stuff.
Here's what piqued my interest:
- L'Oreal Brow Stylist Plumper - $8.99
- Rimmel London The Only One Lipstick - $6.99
- Olay Bright On Schedule Eye Cream $12.99
- Maybelline New York The Colossal Spider Effect Mascara- $7.77
- Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizer - $19.99
Allie also loved for Lumene Bright Now Vitamin C Hyaluronic Essence, $24.99, but I am well hooked on Instanatural Vitamin C Serum which I have purchased repeatedly on Amazon.com. In addition to Vitamin C, it also contains salicylic acid as well as Retinol. It's amazing and I highly recommend you try it. I have yet to disappoint anyone with this well priced pick.
So take a peek for yourself and see if anything tempts. Allie did her experiment for a month. The rest of us may just have to continue to rough it...
Was glad to see you supporting and using InstaNatural. I think their products are amazingly good. Currently using their eyelash serum along with Vichy eye and lash cream and I can tell a difference after about 2 1/2 weeks.ReplyDelete
Im crazy about their serum and I did buy the lash serum too Jennifer, I've just been negligent about using it. My sis recommended it to me. Are you using with the Vichy lash and eye cream eye like? Gosh, I've been lazy. Need to repurchase that too!ReplyDelete
