Amazing Concealer Is!

Amazing Concealer 0.5 oz $42

I popped into Sephora yesterday, hoping once more, to find something equally great, more long lasting and a little less expensive than Benefit's They're Real Mascara. I have been down this path before without success.

The lovely Mariyah took me over to there mascara bar and I decided to purchase Bare Escentual's Buxom Lash. (Unfortunately, I found it to be an anemic under performer and I will be exchanging it for you know what.)

While I was browsing, a noticed a half shelf devoted to Amazing Cosmeticsan unfamiliar brand.

I fully confess to being a bit of a concealer junkie and when I saw Amazing Concealer in 10 shades, I stopped in my tracks.

The only time I know I look completely well rested is when I am on vacation. Usually on about the third day, any dark shadows under my eyes disappear and I have to consider if I need concealer.  It's a beautiful thing and I look and feel 5 years younger. (I will  definitely be posting this on Forever Forty Four, as well.)

Lo and behold, I dotted on Amazing Cosmetics Amazing Concealer and any hint of shadow was gone.  Not only did my shadows disappear, but so did Amazing Concealer. It seamlessly fused into my skin.  I looked in the mirror and thought, "it's my vacation look". Amazing Concealer is a vacation in a tube.  Is there any doubt on the planet I was purchasing this????

Since I didn't know anything about Amazing Cosmetics, I researched it a bit and found that it is a small company, founded by two friends devoted to high quality, truly effective cosmetics.

I looked it up on Sephora's website and found Amazing Concealer received a remarkable 4.4 out of 5 stars based on over 1000 reviews.  Staggering, but not surprising.

(*** Since my email was flooded with picture requests this morning, I am adding this now.  I chose Golden Medium, knowing that I will be fake baking all summer with a little more gusto than usual):

DivaDebbi wears Amazing Concealer in Golden Medium

Here is how it is described:

What it is:
A full-coverage concealer ideal for any kind of imperfection.

What it does:
AmazingCosmetics' AmazingConcealer is the most amazing concealer available today. This highly pigmented, super-emollient, waterproof formula blends seamlessly into the skin, creating a flawless complexion that looks and feels natural.

What else you need to know:
The AmazingConcealer is formulated to erase all skin imperfections: dark circles, broken capillaries, sun damage, blemishes, redness and more. There's nothing on the market today that can compare to the AmazingConcealer and its ability to erase all skin imperfections. Unlike traditional concealers, the AmazingConcealer is so concentrated, you only need to use tiny pin-dot amounts of product to create the skin you've always wanted but thought you could never have. A beauty insider's favorite, the AmazingConcealer is your "magic eraser."

When I went to check out and was told Amazing Concealer costs $42,
froze for a second as sticker shock set in. I could tell that this .5 fluid oz. would probably last for an incredibly long time, but it did seem steep.

Then I came to my senses...This was a vacation in a tube. Literally, the cost of lunch served poolside. This wasn't extravagant...it was cost effective--and the best concealer I have ever used.

What are you waiting for a Pina Colada???

  1. Have you tried the Estee Lauder Double Wear Concealer? I have been looking for something that gives good coverage and does not settle into lines and have read good things about EL and was wondering if you knew how that compared to Amazing Concealer.

    Thanks so much!

  2. I have not, but I have heard good things about it. My current arsenal includes concealers from: Bobbi Brown, Laura Mercier, Smash Box, Benefit, Maybelline, Rimmel, Physicians Formula, F/X,and Kimara Ahnert.

Amazing Concealer tops them all! Let me know if you try the EL what you think.
