Pretty Is What Pretty Does

Valentino green shoes, $930 / Valextra handbags purse / Renee Lewis pearl earrings

Richards, where I work as their Personal Shopper  and our online website www.Mitchellstores.com  has a fabulous selection of Renee Lewis  jewelry, including the earrings featured in this set, which I covet. Daily.

We also have a wide assortment of Valentino's ever popular rock stud shoe and have recently added Valextra handbags. Valextra bags are uber chic, quiet, and elegant with nary a logo. The skins are tanned at the same factories as Hermes.  J' adore!!!

What I Wore Today

DivaDebbi "What I Wore Today"

I have been a Personal Shopper and Stylist for the whole of my professional career. I feel blessed that my job is my joy and that so many clients, now friends, have been so loyal to me. Though many of my purchases are from Richards of Greenwich where I have work, like most women, I fill in here and there with items from all over; Zappos, J.Crew, Zara, Club Monaco etc...

The lag time between when I designer collection is shown and when it is "reinterpreted" at every price point, has shrunk from a season to a matter of days.  "Looks for Less" are everywhere and can be easily be achieved with the help of a stylist or inspiration from well curated magazines.

If it's within budget, there is nothing more satisfying then investing in beautiful, timeless pieces that can serve as the backbone of your wardrobe for many seasons. Case in point; the mink trimmed Loro Piana vest, paired with a navy Brunello Cucinelli skirt. The "cheat" here, is the navy silk Swiss dot J. Crew blouse, that I purchased in Boca 2 years ago...still wear it. Still love it.

For fun,  I will try to post "what I wore today" as often as I can, so you can get a sense of my personal style. I try to buy only what I love and give away or consign things I no longer wear, (trust me, you won't think twice about anything you finally purge.)

I so enjoy meeting new clients. My services are completely complimentary.  I will take the time to get to know your lifestyle needs, designer, fabric and color preferences and help you build a wardrobe of flattering ensembles, that will last for many seasons.

Once you enjoy the convenience of having me edit an entire store to suit your needs, and experience the talents our seamstresses provide, (with the guidance of my trained eye) you won't want to shop any other way!

Let's tawk!  Call me at (203) 622-0551. I am your most affordable luxury…

Spring Ahead...Finally!

Despite the continued cold temperature, my spirit is still blooming looking at all the fabulous, fresh fashion at Richards in Greenwich.  This month, I will celebrate my 14th anniversary as their Personal Shopper, working exclusively by appointment clients who prefer complete one-on-one attention.

To all my lovely, loyal clients and friends who have been with me for nearly 20 years in Greenwich, I think you know, you mean the world to me, and I have enjoyed every moment of assisting you and your families with seasonal wardrobes and milestone occasions.

Here's to many more...and of course, I always enjoy meeting new clients so if you have always thought you would like to work with a Personal Shopper or Stylist, call me! The beauty of having a relationship, is trust. It is my solemn mission to only sell you what fits you and your lifestyle and flatters you perfectly. (203-622-0551203-622-0551). Why would we do less?

Before each season everyone always asks me what are the major trends of the season?
It's always amazing how key colors and ideas find their way into every important collection. Here is how Spring 2014 took shape:

Go Global
Designers the world over created dresses and ready-to-wear with ethnic prints in rich, saturated hues:

Valentino
The Row

Peter Pilotto
Etro

Oxford Bound
The allure of cool crisp shirting, showed up in many designers collections in dresses, over slim pants and pencil skirts:

Brunello Cucinelli
Giorgio Armani

Valentino

Pop Art
Echos of Roy Lichenstein, Peter Beard, Frank Stella and Jean Miro could be found in designers collections.  Bright pops of color were woven onto knits and printed onto silks, with photo prints also popular:
Akris Punto

Alexander McQueen

Phillip Lim

Flower Power
Lush blooms were featured prominently adding a dreamy feminine glam to many collections reminiscent of exotic locations:

Giorgio Armani

Dolce and Gabbana

Stella McCartney coat
