IT Celebration Illumination Foundation

Jamie Kern, IT Cosmetics Founder

Talk about American success stories!  Jamie Kern, is former news anchor, who started creating her own cosmetics when nothing would cover her Rosacea. With the advent of HD TV became the norm exposing every flaw, finding a fix became Jamie's passion

Fast forward 10 years, this past summer L'Oreal purchased IT Cosmetics, for over $1 billion dollars!!!  Allure did a great feature on Kern if you would like to read more about her inspiring tale.  I recently blogged about IT's new Bye Bye Eye Illuminating Waterproof Concealer (in Medium, which is nicely, on the light side.)  I am IN LOVE with it, and I am now using what's left on my finger pads as a shadow primer.)

I happened upon Jamie, doing what she does very well, on QVC one night...selling her brand.  I really appreciate that she uses models of all ages and ethnicity's to demonstrate her cosmetics on. What caught my attention???

The way every pore and flaw disappeared on every models, with just a few swirl of IT Celebration Illumination Foundation.  I am very much enjoying my Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation, but I thought, "wouldn't it be nice to have something portable, that might provide enough color in the "Tan" shade, than having to apply Stila 3 in 1 Bronzing Mousse on top of it?"

It Celebration Illumination Foundation
$34
at ULTA  (I purchased it on QVC and got the brush with it
for the bargain price of $48 for the set.)

So I purchased it, not in 5 easy payments, (God help me if I ever fall down that rabbit hole,) but as a set that included the brush that retails for over $25 dollars if sold separately.

Alas, it arrived.  I like it. A lot.  It is a little bit drying, so oily skins rejoice, dryer skins, beware.  I do avoid my under eye area like crazy for just that reason. The "Tan" does perform double duty for me and I do appreciate being able to toss it in my cosmetics bag for day to night time touch ups.

You, like me, might balk out the idea of "full coverage", but lemmetellya, it is a thrill to see everything blurred and covered, resulting in near flawless skin! Apparently, there is good stuff in there too, hyaluronic acid, Niacin, rose silk too.

Here are are the deets for those of you who like to know more:

Who is it for: This product is for anyone who wants full-coverage, flawless radiance!

Why is it different: Celebration Foundation Illumination is formulated with hydrolyzed collagen, peptides, antioxidants, and Drops of Light Technology for the ultimate soft, candle-lit-glow complexion. Niacin, hyaluronic acid, rose, silk, and aloe--just to name a few--mean this full-coverage foundation is formulated with good-for-you ingredients that help to leave skin fresh and hydrated! The custom-designed Heavenly Luxe Double Airbrush Foundation Brush features dual-fiber brush hairs for a level of never-before-seen airbrushed complexion perfection. It's also formulated without talc or parabens.

How do I use it: Using the Heavenly Luxe Double Airbrush Foundation Brush, gently swirl circles into powder, then sweep gently onto skin in circular motions to expertly distribute a natural look of luminosity with a flawless, soft-focus, airbrushed finish. The skin-enhancing formula means less is more to achieve your desired level of buildable coverage.

Diva divined???  Absolutely...

  1. I just ordered the it Eye illuminating product. You didn't mention the color you chose? I assume it was Medium? I usually purchase what ever you suggest and we have the same coloring so I hope medium was the correct choice for me. Thanks again Debi for helping me shop for great products.

  2. Hi DeS Darling!
I did in my original review. Yes to the medium, which is a tad lighter than most mediums, just the way I like it. It is hard to spread, so you may want to use just a touch of moisturizer on your finger tips too. I use an illuminating liquid...not available but Revlon makes a product that would do the trick!
