Allure's 9 Best Anti-Aging Drugstore Finds

A few of Allure.com's picks for best anti-aging products available at drugstores and mass merchants

One of my regular beauty reads is Allure.com, (though I'm still a little cranky about their firing their Founder and 20 year Editor, Linda Wells.  I liked Linda and her monthly letter to her readers was one of the few I actually read, though I can't deny Allure needing a reboot.)

Every one of my senses perks up when I see an article about excellently rated drugstore beauty buys. As I was downloading this into my beauty file, knowing that I was getting perilously close to the bottom of my beloved Exuviance Age Reverse Cream and pondering my next purchase, I also thought I should share it with you.  All of the choices were recommended by top dermatologists, who actually refer them to their patients.

I'm leaning toward trying either the Garnier Ultra-Lift Anti-Wrinkle Night Cream or the Avene Yesthereal Anti-Wrinkle Cream, since I am currently using their Cicalfate Cream during the day and I am quite liking it.

Neutrogena Rapid Wrinkle Repair Serum. "It has retinol, which helps with fine lines and exfoliation, and it's gentle, so it won't cause the same irritation and dryness as some prescription retinoids can." —Sandra Kopp, a dermatologist at Schweiger Dermatology Group in New York City
Garnier Ultra-Lift Anti-Wrinkle Night Cream. "The combination of retinol and rice protein peptides in the glycerin base work together to stimulate collagen production while hydrating your skin." —Francesca Fusco, an assistant clinical professor of dermatology at Mount Sinai School of Medicine and an assistant attending dermatologist at Mount Sinai in New York City
Olay Regenerist Regenerating Serum. "It contains a peptide complex proven to stimulate collagen production." —Vivian Bucay, a dermatologist and the founder of Bucay Center for Dermatology and Aesthetics in San Antonio
RoC Retinol Correxion Deep Wrinkle Serum. "A lot of my patients love this retinol. It helps to soften and smooth skin and fix sun damage." —Jason Emer, a cosmetic dermatologist and aesthetic surgeon in Mountain View, California
L'Oréal Paris Revitalift Triple PowerSerum "Skin feels smoother and softer almost instantly, and very well hydrated—so much so that depending on your skin type, there may be no need to follow with a moisturizer." —Karen Hammerman, a dermatologist with Schweiger Dermatology Group in New York City
Avène Ystheal Anti-Wrinkle Cream. This cream is formulated with 0.05 percent retinaldehyde, a non-irritating form of vitamin A, which makes the formula gentle enough for sensitive skin yet still effective enough to optimize cell renewal and boost collagen and elastin production." —Jeannette Graf, a clinical assistant professor of dermatology at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City
Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel. "It's a true hydrating moisturizer with a high content of hyaluronic acid, therefore it will hold the water inside the skin, giving it a plumper, smoother appearance. It's also very well tolerated by all types of skin." —Leyda Bowes, a dermatologist in Miami
Women's Rogaine Hair Regrowth Treatment 5% Minoxidil. "Keeping a full head of hair is another way to address anti-aging." —Bucay
RapidLash Eyelash Enhancing Serum. "This serum rejuvenates and transforms lashes while also giving them a nice lift." —Fusco

Which will you choose???
