I could see why Alex would want to see the L.A.M.B. Collection by Gwen Stefani...she is never afraid to take risks and she enjoys color. Gwen definitely is her own best muse, and I could picture her in every look, as well as Blake Lively, Leighton Meister, Sarah Jessica Parker and Chloe Sevigny, a leggy bunch, with plenty of confidence to match...
Still presentations are great for small collections...it is a perfect venue to really see the clothes. California seems to be on the minds of many designers, with quite a few gathering inspiration from Palm Springs and the Rat Pack--Gwen amongst them.
Her collection which featured oversized colorful bags, and towering platforms and hair (by Danilo), looked modern, sexy and fresh to me...anything but retro. Here are some photos of my favorite looks, courtesy of Style.com:
