Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs- Do you need this?

I thought I did...particularly since I am staying out of the sun.  Self tanner can only take you so far and pale and splotchy is never an option.  I will admit I have been curious about Sally Hansen's Airbrush Legs, since it was launched a few years ago (somewhere around the end of the Sex and the City era, when women stopped wearing pantyhose in 11 degrees).  Mentally, I couldn't wrap my head around "making up" yet another appendage in the morning, but the lure of  "spraying on perfect legs in an instant  finally proved to heady to resist.
Airbrush Legs comes in 4 shades: Light Glow, Medium Glow, Tan Glow and Deep Glow.  I went with the Medium Glow.  The formula is designed to be transfer resistant after setting for 60 seconds.  The lightweight formula is infused with Vitamin K is intended to help fade and cover freckles, veins and imperfections. What's not to like???  Now I'm thinking about how flawless my underarms could look...

It took me three tries to get the application right for me. I got a little carried away with the concept of "airbrushing" and disregarded the directions to spray it in my palm first and then apply it to my legs.  No, I decided to spray it directly on my legs...and the rest of my bathroom.  Uh-boy...yes, my legs were seamless, but so was my grout.  I tried it again, as directed, but found it a bit too opaque and heavy.  It blended quickly and my legs looked tanned, toned and even...(kind of like a mannequin's).  It did dry quickly and I was pleased with how natural it appeared in daylight.  Though it washed off easily, I will not be using Airbrush Legs the next time I  get a pedicure...I'm pretty sure there would be a half a dozen technicians tssk tssking in horror at the ring left in pedi tub and who could blame them???

The third time was the charm.  After showering, with my legs still a little damp, I mixed equal parts Nivea Skin Firming Moisturizer and Airbrush Legs in my palm.  I liked how the Nivea thinned out the Airbrush formula, and it glided on and dried fairly quick.  My legs still looked tan and definitely more even.  It does blend freckles, age spots and spider veins as promised (actually "treating" those problems...who knows)?
All in all, I think it is pretty terrific, for days that I can wrap my head around making up my legs...

What part will be next?  Not sure...except it won't be Vajazzling.  Scouts honor.

  2. It's actually not that bad Denise! I would definitely recommend it for occasions that you want to look your best without pantyhose. My friend Jene does T.V. appearances and always uses it on camera, particularly in the winter.

  3. I love the stuff, and have only tried it today. I still need to learn how to apply it better, so I'm going to take your tip with the mosturizer. I have a wedding to go to on Friday evening, so I can't wait.

OH...it was a little orange on me, but not bad enough to say no way. (I bought Medium Glow).

  4. Hi Tab!
Good stuff! No? Yes, I think you will be happier thinning it down with a bit of moisturizer. Thanks for writing.

  6. I cant go out with a short skirt showing my beautiful thin long legs without this product. It gives them a smooth texture and a perfect tan. True it has given me problems when spraying in the bathroom so I have learned to do it outdoors on my balcony with an old beach towel (I live in Florida) But I will try your Nivea and palm in hand method. Thanks
