You Glow Girl

Regular readers know I am all about the glow.  In it's pursuit, there is regular exfoliation, occasional microdermabrasion, glycolic acid, Retin-A and Hyaluronic acid.  Though is sounds counter intuitive, it all leads to amped up cellular turnover and increased collagen.

I recently purchased Laura Mercier's Illuminating Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20 in Golden Radiance ($42). I had first received a generous sample at Neiman's. It took a little practice to get the hang of how to maximize its potential...a natural glow vs. a phosphorescent gleam...fortunately, practice does make perfect.

One of the things that people love about Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizers, is that it does provide a bit of coverage and a little goes a long way.

Here are three ways to look lit from within:
  • Mix one part Illuminating Moisturizer with one part regular tinted moisturizer or foundation in the palm of your hand and apply with fingertips, a sponge or a foundation brush
  • First use a light dusty of matte bronzing powder then dab Illuminating Moisturizer on tops of cheekbones, the bow of the lip and at the temples
  • Try it straight up, but tamp down the shimmer with a damp sponge and finish with a dusting of finely milled powder
Laura Mercier Illuminating Moisturizer won't be for everybody, everyday, but as we head into the Holiday party season I think it could also come in handy not just for adding a bit of glow to festive nights but for adding a little perk to the mornings that  follow them....
